Perched high above the Pacific, this beautifully appointed 1,700-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. Expansive windows frame panoramic ocean views stretching toward the iconic Point Arena Lighthouse, bringing the beauty of the coastline into the heart of the home.
A traditional wood-burning fireplace adds warmth and charm to the living area, creating the perfect setting for cozy evenings by the fire. Firewood, kindling, and fire starters are thoughtfully provided, so you can settle in and enjoy the ambiance.
With comfortable furnishings, inviting gathering spaces, and spectacular ocean views from every bedroom, Whale Watchers Bluff offers a wonderful balance of comfort, privacy, and coastal charm.
A Hot Tub with a View
Unwind in your private hot tub while taking in sweeping views of the Pacific. Watch the sun dip below the horizon as the sky comes alive with color, then settle in for an evening of stargazing under the coastal night sky. It’s the perfect way to end a day on the coast.

Whether you’re feeling playful or simply want to relax, there’s plenty to enjoy without leaving the house. Challenge family and friends to a game of ping pong in the garage, choose a favorite from the collection of board games, or settle in for a movie on the large smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor propane grill make preparing meals a pleasure, with plenty of opportunities to gather, share stories, and enjoy time together.

Where You’ll Sleep
Whale Watchers Bluff has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. The primary bedroom features a king bed, private ensuite bathroom, and direct access to the deck and hot tub. The second bedroom also offers a king bed, while the third bedroom features two queen beds. Every bedroom offers beautiful ocean views, so everyone can wake up to the sights of the Pacific.
Guest Access
Guests have private and exclusive access to the entire home and property. There is no ocean access from the property itself, but you will have a gate pass for the private Irish Beach, only a 3 minute drive (or a 15 to 20 minute walk) from the house.
Parking & EV Charging
The attached garage is available for parking. A Level 2 universal EV charger (Grizzl-E, Type 1 SAE J1772) in the garage is available for guest use.
Accessibility
There are two steps to enter the home and three steps inside down into the sunken living area.
Families with Children
Families with children are warmly welcome. The deck features wire rails designed for unobstructed views. While the rails are safe, we recommend supervising young children on the deck.
Pet Policy
A fenced yard gives your pups room to roam and play in a safe space. There is a flat pet fee, and we ask that you follow these pet rules:
- 2 dog maximum (no cats)
- Do not leave pets unattended in the home
- Please keep pets off the beds
- Please pick up after your pet
- Irish Beach has a community leash ordinance. Please keep dogs leashed in open areas
- Dogs must be house trained (no puppies or indoor pee mats)
- No dogs in the hot tub at any time
Hot Tub
All guests must shower before using the hot tub, and no dogs in the hot tub at any time. Our cleaning fee includes servicing the hot tub after every guest. It may be drained and refilled on the day of your arrival, in which case it can take 6 to 8 hours to heat. If it is not hot when you check in, it will be ready by the next morning at the latest.
Guest Safety
There are two exterior security cameras facing the driveway and a Ring doorbell at the front door. All cameras are capable of recording both video and audio, and there are no recording devices inside the home. The house is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as well as two fire extinguishers.
Nature & Wildlife
Our home is located in a beautiful rural coastal area where wildlife is part of the experience. You may see deer, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, skunks, and occasionally bears or mountain lions passing through. For everyone’s safety, please do not approach or feed any wildlife, keep a close eye on children and pets, and be sure to secure all trash and food items.
